Never something that would have occurred to me but of course it makes more sense to have height or even leg length as a category for say, olympic runners, than it does gender. Much more apples and apples. Let's pit a 5'11 female runner against a 5'3 male and wait for the "That's not fair"s to come out. Much more logical.
