      probably not- I could be better about reading those settings

When they tweet to people from another country in another time zone, what kind of context do they need to consider? What should they add, remove, or modify in order to communicate better?

      very important to consider platform/resource and audience

    3. Digital literacy would focus on helping students choose appropriate images, recognize copyright licensing, and cite or get permissions, in addition to reminding students to use alternative text for images to support those with visual disabilities.

      Already recognizing that in my own education there was a lack of digital literacy learning. Was more focus on digital skills (i.e. computer class in high school, typing/Mavis Beacon)

      This section highlights the importance of being mindful in your collaboration with others. The internet's audience is vast and global-- we must make sure that what is said and done is acceptable for all people

      These skills are important for school, learning, work force, business, etc. These competencies are critical

      Important: inclusivity in the face of diversity and a variety of audiences

Making judgments about the “truthfulness” or credibility of a web source based on the content presented. Identifying and investigating the author or publisher of web resources. Evaluating how purpose and perspectives shape web resources.

      I think this skill is absolutely critical. Information is very accessible on the internet, and it's easy to "prove" certain points using particular key-words. Being critical, reading several sources to assess validity, looking at authors and analyzing their credentials, being aware of who is funding certain journals or articles... all of this information tells a story and eliminates bias

      These tools are important to educate educators (relates to my comment above)

      Education has developed profoundly since many present-day teachers have been in early education systems. Important to recognize that teaching strategies must reflect these changes-- not regurgitate the experience teachers had in schools.
