probably not- I could be better about reading those settings
When is it best to do a Google search versus ask a question on Twitter? Why would students tweet to a particular hashtag or person versus another? When they tweet to people from another country in another time zone, what kind of context do they need to consider? What should they add, remove, or modify in order to communicate better?

Digital literacy would focus on helping students choose appropriate images, recognize copyright licensing, and cite or get permissions, in addition to reminding students to use alternative text for images to support those with visual disabilities.
Already recognizing that in my own education there was a lack of digital literacy learning. Was more focus on digital skills (i.e. computer class in high school, typing/Mavis Beacon)

I think this skill is absolutely critical. Information is very accessible on the internet, and it's easy to "prove" certain points using particular key-words. Being critical, reading several sources to assess validity, looking at authors and analyzing their credentials, being aware of who is funding certain journals or articles... all of this information tells a story and eliminates bias

Knowing how to read, write, and participate in the digital world has become the 4th basic foundational skill next to the three Rs
Education has developed profoundly since many present-day teachers have been in early education systems. Important to recognize that teaching strategies must reflect these changes-- not regurgitate the experience teachers had in schools.
