Case1: Female, 49 years old, French
DiseaseAssertion: Glanzmann thrombasthenia (diagnosed when 5 years old)
FamilyInfo: A brother died from hemorrhage when he was 4 years old, but an adult sister has never experienced untoward bleeding. (Case History Supp Table 1)

ProteinExpression: Flow cytometry analysis showed no biding of P2 and AP-2, two MoAbs recognizing alphaIIbBeta3 and a very weak binding of MoAbs to Beta3 to platelets of the proband
PlateletAggregation: Platelet function testing confirmed an absence of aggregation to ADP, collagen, arachidonic acid and thrombin but the response to ristocetin was normal (Case History Supp Table 1)
CasePreviousTesting: Direct sequencing of all exons and splice sites of ITGA2B (30 exons) and ITGB3 (15 exons) was performed by the French National Sequencing Center. Briefly, exons and flanking regions of ITGA2B and ITGB3 were amplified by PCR with a high fidelity Taq polymerase permitting large fragment amplification. PCR fragments were sequenced.
