Considero que este postulado del constructivismo de Bruner es muy valioso y pertinente para nuestro presente, porque nos recuerda a los estudiantes la responsabilidad que tenemos con nosotros mismos en nuestros procesos de aprendizaje y nos invita a tomar una actitud crítica, tomando distancia de un rol meramente pasivo y receptivo en el que los resultados dependen enteramente de un docente o instructor que guía mentes como a un rebaño.
