Soon, state legislators in California and New York introduced bills making it illegal to keep orcas in captivity. SeaWorld's profits took a hit; CNN and the Times started musing about its long-term viability as a business; protests mounted. But the case against SeaWorld always seemed a little narrowly construed.
I find the source credible and it does bring to my attention that the matter of animals in captivity is now being taken seriously by politicians also.
