hen, between 1956 and 1969,college enrollment in the United States more than doubled, and “youth”grew from a four-year demographic to an eight-year one.
Has the demographic of "youth" gotten older, or younger with the emergence of social media?
- I feel like the demographic has grown in a sense of dependency upon parents and adults a lot more, but I also feel that with the exposure to so much knowledge about all of the things in the world (such as the BLM movement, politics, mass shootings, COVID-19, etc.) the demographic of youth may have shrunk because the "youth" being exposed to so many things may have brought out a lot more morbid concerns, stresses, and problems children are having to try and navigate or manage. I could be totally wrong, this is just how I see things from my perspective.
