Advocating to allow to anyone into an AP course is a nice learning experience, but may not benefit everyone who does join. When talking more about money and government in my paper, and topic i could bring up could be about how the money is spent towards patients. Is it fair to spend government funding money(the Medicare and Medicaid) for surgeries for patients that are already old and wont live much longer anyway.

For my own career, I have an interest in becoming a physical therapist. With the big range of problems that Seniors receive, they require a lot of attention from nurses, aids, and physical therapists.

The amount of room there is for patients/ residents is decreasing over time. This could mean many things saying there are less people going into nursing homes. This article is good to just show all the different things that nursing homes bring to seniors. It may have all these benifits but how well are they executed. Is the house keeping done well. Is the food what they residents want. Not everyone is the same and everyone lives differently. When put in a building with 100 other people, problems occur.

This also says how staffing can be difficult for nursing homes with the wages low and low staffing, the crew may not be 100% qualified or the right people for the job.

The part with the amount of residents that have instances of abuse is some of 550,000 residents.

Chiarella, wanting to deal with what he is writing about personally, sets out to master his eye-contact skills. Through these interactions, the author comes to various comprehensions and learns the benefits of having good eye-contact when relating to people. This article I can use to further emphasize that learning body language is a tool, and might even argue a necessity, when talking to people.

In the article the Art of the Handshake, by Tom Chiarella, the author goes on a more personal tangent of his experience with handshakes. Chiarella sets out to practice and perfect his handshake, which he comments that though it might be a societal obligation the handshake is a lot more telling. Different types of handshakes are more appropriate for different social interactions, and they set up a first impression of who you are to the other person. I might use this for my essay, supporting the notion that body language is a huge factor in communication.

So, the premise of this article is summed up in this paragraph. A lady become depressed and then she gets better when they implant electrodes in her brain. So mostly, they're saying that the angle that research should be directed in isn't just neurochemistry and using drugs to treat mental illness but "covering all the bases" and look towards the brain as having many possible cures.

So this article primarily talked about the process of his exorcism. This was a shamanistic way for him to rid himself of his "demons." But what the user actually underwent was an acute depression that had already been treated and mostly recovered. This exorcism was very different but the author's opinion of the process was positive because of the contrasts between treating depression in the United States and in Africa.
