Note that if we compare the 500–1,000 kW category in France to the “Small” category in the LBNL 2024 study, the averages presented do not allow us to conclude that data centers in the U.S. consume more water on-site than French data centers.
I think this is saying this is not an apples / apples comparison, but it allows for a veeeery rough comparison at least
