Dry grass to me seems so lifeless, basically dead. But as the stanza before, this is like pairing opposites. If dry grass does sing, I imagine it's a sad song.

So far, this suggests that the woman is wealthy and of high status. I imagine her jewels in a a rectangular box, all mixed together, so she can run her hands through them and decide which one to wear. It sounds like she has many, she doesn't even need candles.

Circle of life? a ring is never-ending and maybe it's saying he feels crowded with so many people. I also think it could be that most people have the same, daily routine that they can't get out of school.

There is a lot of repetitiveness that it seems like she has so much to say and has never expressed it before. She doesn't know how to articulate words and it sounds like if she is just learning to speak, like toddlers who say random things that make no sense.

I love how every line is a statement when some should clearly be questions. Even if this line was a question, it still wouldn't make sense.

Maybe it's trying to show us how similar words and phrases can be? Kind of reminds me of when I was younger and had to write poetry in class. I would try to see what rhymed.

Why isn't philip capitalized and why is it repeated twice? This line also makes laugh because it's indecisive- come, go, stay...what does the author want?

Woods is used a lot in the poem. This is Frost's sanctuary, a place of hope. He feels he can be himself and feel at home.

Refers to his work, his legacy. He feels that he has offered people a library where they could be exposed to great literary works. He says "When I died", so I take this as him predicting his library will close when he dies or that a part of him died when the library closed. He feels his life will have nothing to show for.

It's funny, when I think of roses I do think of love and the positive emotions that come with love. However, here it's compared to a rose that fades and now it has me questioning why roses are associated with love.

I imagine this word being read the loudest, maybe even pausing before we continue to read. The only word to have all letters capitalized, it definitely stands out and captures my attention.

Sounds like she could be this woman she speaks of; can't get out of her depression and worrisome thoughts.

At this point in the reading, I assume she has postpartum depression.

Shows us how women in this time period (and in some parts of the world today) are inferior to men and are told what's best for them. Perkins also says her husband calls her hysterical, which is a poor stereotype of women. It seems like her own husband doesn't seem to care for her feelings or thoughts.

My first thought is that Earth refers to humans who use trees for other purposes such as paper and as wood for homes. Our own planet is killing itself.
