Earlier this month, the Jehovah’s Witnesses filed a permit application seeking to remove the 15-foot-tall letters from the roof of the organization’s now-former headquarters. The request comes nearly a year after developers Kushner Companies, CIM Group and LIVWRK Holdings purchased the building at 25-30 Columbia Heights for $340 million.Removal of the letters will cost an estimated $70,500, according to documents filed with the city’s Department of Buildings.

Anonyma vittnen ansågs inte förenliga medEuropakonventionens bestämmelser eftersom det uppstår problem med att behålla enanonymitet för vittnet samtidigt som försvaret/åtalad ska få en rättvis rättegång (ibid, 320).

Frågan kring införandet av anonyma vittnen har aktualiserats flera gånger i Sverige men ejansetts genomförbart “utan att komma i konflikt med de grundläggande principerna för etträttssamhälle” (SOU 1998:40,310).

"The Finished Mystery," by Clayton J. Woodworth and George Fisher (1917). This was published as Volume 7 of Studies in the Scriptures and advertised as the posthumous work of Charles Taze Russell. This is a text version of the first printing and also contains pictures that were circulated in the Karatol edition. Later printings contain significant changes. Publication of this book was authorized by J.F. Rutherford, president of the Watchtower Society. Rutherford later gave the group the name Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931.
