    1. To oppose speech to writing is always also to oppose man to animal in opposing him in the same stroke to the technical. How does grammatology pose this question? By calling man (or his unity) into question, and by forging the concept of différance, which is nothing else than the history of life.

    1. La plasticité traduit pour Hegel le sujet, c’est-à-dire recevoir et former son propre contenu, c’est-à-dire s’auto-différencier. On peut alors penser la plasticité comme une logique de l’écart : « La plasticité qui entre dès lors en scène avec la possibilité de former le sens n’est plus réductible à une logique de l’incorporation ou de la sculpture signifiante dans l’espace de la présence, puisqu’elle permet précisément d’ouvrir cet espace à son altérité, de le faire glisser vers son autre : l’écart. »

      For as difficult as it was making sense of the postmodern writers, Anzaldua's patois raises some really interesting and unique issues for my reading. I have two semesters of Spanish from half a decade ago, plus google, but also talking with my San Antonian wife, and the difference (or differance) between the results with these words is interesting.
