    1. Both solutions to insert <hr /> a horizontal line seem insane to me. You can insert nearly anything but an actual horizontal line. pray for a solution. But no actual <hr /> I can find.

    1. HTML <hr> element: The prior warning is doubly important because there is a tendency to associate the term “horizontal rule” with the HTML <hr> element. LO does not generate this HTML element, either in ODT XML or when exporting to HTML, regardless of the type of horizontal rule used. This, and the preference to use styles in deference to graphic objects may also have influenced the decision to remove the Insert > Horizontal Rule… menu option and associated gallery.

    1. This is very irresponsible of them, with respect to the number of downloads. They should finally realize this and just redirect people to LO. Continuing like this hurts the Apache Foundation credibility as well as the open source community as a whole.
    1. The development of OOo has been almost completely abandoned - there are almost 300 developers for LibreOffice, and less than 20 for OpenOffice - and IBM's contribution to this project is waning like the setting sun.
    2. AOO/OOo has become decrepit - Let's do the right thing boiz and defer to TDF and LO - it was a good run, so let's just be proud of that and the legacy that The Document Foundation now carries onward for what was once StarOffice.
