Participants expected the instructors to be actively engaged with learners, providing them with clear guidance, expectations, and requirements. This finding confirms that students expected consistent and timely feedback from the instructor (Vonderwell, 2003)

The engaged voice must never be fixed and absolute but always changing, always evolving in dialogue with a world beyond itself.
A helpful reminder when considering not just what it means to be a teacher-writer, but a writer in general. I'm also reminded of edtech's role in negating and even punishing this engaged voice; see, for example, John Warner's piece "Another Terrible Idea from Turnitin" and its authorship investigation.

I believe people in sometimes feel they have no voice are say. There are pathways were people try there best to find change and still see no result i believe to have to change we have to write congress men and people in the government letters to how we may feel. We must be aware together but, its better sometimes to be the odd person out the bunch. It takes one person doing something different to see results.

The attempt to read a text in its fullest and most integrative context commits the reader to positions that are educative, humane, and engaged, positions that depend on training and taste and not simply on a technologized professionalism, or on the tiresome playfulness of “postmodern” criticism,
I feel that a reader has to be committed and focused on the piece of writing they are reading in order for them to fully understand the perspective and context from which the author is coming from.

Generally the literatures related to transformational learning hinge on active student engagement in the learning process and on students assuming responsibility for their learning. Transformative learning, self-directed learning, experiential learning, and collaborative learning, each of which aims to enhance students’ engagement, are some of the pedagogical approaches that are widely described and evaluated in the literature. In addition to active student engagement, another key feature of transformational learning is transformational teaching. In order for students’ role to change, the role and responsibility of faculty must change as well.
Active learning, engaged learning, experiential learning, and owning the learning best happens with transformational teaching.
