two complementary arguments: namely that listening to CGD is a governmental obligation and that including CGD is ultimately beneficial for making environmental decisions.
Citizen Data Generation.
This paper studies the strategies citizens (and intereseted institutional actors) have justified the role of lay people i producing data on environmental issues.
According to the paper the strategies have worked as the conclusions are that * taking citizen science serious is a governmental obligation This is achieved by showing the scientific strenght and thus 'contributory' potential for CGD.
I added quotes on contributory, because that is a conclusion that follows evidently from the scientific strenght. It would be interesting to see how much scientific data would hold up if it had to be shown scientific strength.

Using a modified version of Köhler’s method, recent research has found that in 2015 drain from the South through unequal exchange amounted to $2.1 trillion (constant 2011 dollars), represented in Northern prices (Hickel et al., 2021). Köhler’s proxy approach is limited in several respects, however. It relies on PPP figures that do not adequately account for the comparatively high prices of Northern exports; it relies on GDP figures that are affected by the low prices of imports from the South; and it compares Southern exports to prices across whole economies, rather than to those of only traded goods. All of this leads to underestimating the scale of drain (see Hickel et al., 2021).
!- comment : recent history of calculating unequal exchange - The authors, particularly Hickel have tried to estimate the drain in the past using other techniques but the recent technique of EORA I/O tables proves to be the most accurate to date, revealing a true and larger figure that previous estimates

Allow creating custom components with the same abilities as native dom. By all means keep the same level of encapsulation, don't push class on components, but allow a component to mark the class property or another as a CSS Class property, in which case you could pass it through the same transformation that native elements go through

If your reaction to the video was 'fine, but if we use TypeScript and write plugins for each editor then we can get all the autocomplete and syntax highlighting stuff' — in other words, if you believe that in order to achieve parity with CSS it makes sense to build, document, promote and maintain a fleet of ancillary projects — then, well, you and I may never see eye to eye!
