President James E. Faust (1920–2007) of the First Presidency summarized five fundamental truths relating to how God reveals truth in His Church: “First, the keys and the authority of God have been given by Him to Joseph Smith and each of his successors who have been called as Presidents of the Church. “Second, those keys and authority are never to be given to another people, and those who have such authority are ‘known to the Church’ [D&C 42:11]. “Third, continuing revelation and leadership for the Church come through the President of the Church, and he will never mislead the Saints. “Fourth, individual members of the Church may receive revelation for their own callings and areas of responsibility and for their own families. They may not receive spiritual instruction for those higher in authority. “Fifth, those who claim direct revelation from God for the Church outside the established order and channel of the priesthood are misguided. This also applies to any who follow them” (“The Prophetic Voice,” Ensign, May 1996, 7).
1) those who follow christ are granted access to his spirit, which consequently opens the pathway to divine revelation
2) the extent of one's revelation is dependent on their role and responsibility. the greater the responsibility and the more significant the role, the broader the scope of the revelation they may receive
3) conversely, being entitled to the gift of revelation carries a sacred responsibility that is governed by eternal laws

I dont know if it's just me, but there is something about this learning journey that feels illegal. I think I am feeling the way I feel due to the influence of centralization and the corporate world we live in. This knowledge should be open to all and more people should know about this.

In trying to capture the essence of a system through a minimum of unambiguous symbols, scientists and artists are driven by a similar concern for beauty and symmetry, a similar thirst for light. What makes mathematics special is its promise of prophecy, the promise that it will help us understand all mysteries and all knowledge.
We all want desperately to know what the future holds.

It was indeed a paradise
At this moment, the Creature appears more strongly associated with Adam than with Satan, apparently born into a "paradise." However, Shelley's allusion might be to that of the serpent or snake, as in Revelation: "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast out to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him . . . He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years (Rev. 12:9; 20:2).

were the peoples of the world to grasp the true significance of the words of God, they would never be deprived of their portion of the ocean of His bounty
Bounty comes from understanding the words. The Revelation is, firstly, the words (and the spiritual energy they contain).

“Do you not see the reason for yourself,” he indifferently replied.
Ah, answering a question with a question: either a deliberate rudeness or an apathetic request for attention. I think the latter is the case here.

flexibility allows you to study what you need when you need it
This is likely true for any study system. Then comes my question, how do I balance that flexibility with having some sort of overarching direction and plan? I need to be open to be guided by the Spirit (especially since I don't even have a mission president LOL).

Rev. v.
What Williams is specifically alluding to here in this passage is Revelation 5:11-12, that further alludes to the the execution of Jesus as the "greater slaughter":
"And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders:and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing."

There is no reason for you to feel that you must be able to understand the new view before you see it. There is no way for Revelation to mean the revealing of what you already know, except in the Absolute sense. Your Being has always moved beyond your present concepts of Reality, and you have always recognized it as a sudden influx of inspiration and understanding which went beyond what you had previously been aware of. You have simply never been aware of the process before, only the result. This time you are aware of the process—of the breakdown of the old concepts and the appearing of the Revelation. In actuality, the whole process of breakdown and the new view is the One, Total Function of Being called Revelation. It is happening in slow motion, so to speak, and you are having the opportunity to observe the process. You are, indeed, the Answer. I would stick with this Fact as constantly as you are able, even if it appears not to be so, and not to be evident. You are going to stick with something, and it might as well be the Fact.
Being always moves beyond your present concept of Reality.
Revelation is the breakdown of concepts resulting in a new view of Reality. It is the One, Total Function of Being.
Question: is this saying that the function of Being is growth into a more expansive view of Reality? We call this Revelation.
