Three lads of Cyprus, noble swelling spirits(That hold their honors in a wary distance,The very elements of this warlike isle
They protect their honor with wariness, indicating a sense of hiding, of restraint, of self-control, and most of all, of shame. This is a string that Iago pulls, something already bound to topple, Iago is just the small push like a domino.

In a letter to the Times Book Review in November, 1971, Nabokov wrote, “I am aware that my former friend is in poor health but in the struggle between the dictates of compassion and those of personal honor the latter wins.”

The conservative writer David French, who lives in Tennessee, has written about the South’s shame/honor culture and its focus on group reputation and identity. “What we’re watching right now in much of our nation’s Christian politics,” he wrote, “is an explosion not of godly Christian passion, but rather of ancient southern shame/honor rage.”
This sounds like some of the remnants of the Scots/Irish fighting spirit renewed.
What does the overlap of this look like in Appalachia within the American Nations thesis?

Jones did make one change, adding a question that asked students to reflect on their experience during the pandemic, and how it will shape their approach to studying family history.
reflection questiğon about pandemic could be important for med students and may change their approach to exam and honor code also. people who think they have a free will, act more ethical compared to who doesn't.

Captain Delano could not but bethink him of the beauty of that relationship which could present such a spectacle of fidelity on the one hand and confidence on the other. The scene was heightened by, the contrast in dress, denoting their relative positions. The Spaniard wore a loose Chili jacket of dark velvet; white small-clothes and stockings, with silver buckles at the knee and instep; a high-crowned sombrero, of fine grass; a slender sword, silver mounted, hung from a knot in his sash–the last being an almost invariable adjunct, more for utility than ornament, of a South American gentleman’s dress to this hour.
See this article by Verônica Undurraga Schüler on the dynamics of class relationships as they pertain to Spanish-colonial constructions of masculine authority and honor. In particular, it addresses "the relationship between honor and social practices in Chile's eighteenth century and analyzes ... various manifestations of the social ways used to deal with honor at that time, together with the inquiries about mechanisms used to restore honor and its links with traditional masculinity."

To understand his duties to his neighbours, & country, and to discharge with competence the functions confided to him by either.
I agree with this statement because even though educating the youth is important there are other things in life that are more significant to being a person. In this case, it mentions how crucial it is for the person to work with others to achieve something greater. In addition, it states that we have to be together as a country and help each other in times of need. This can be related to current day such as voting and self run student government and honor system. -Alexander An

The constituents of honour are: sacrifices; commemoration, in verse or prose; privileges; grants of land; front seats at civic celebrations; state burial; statues; public maintenance; among foreigners, obeisances and giving place; and such presents as are among various bodies of men regarded as marks of honour.
Interesting, honor being a public pursuit vs. private. Huh, live and learn.

Honour is the token of a man's being famous for doing good.
Can one have honor and derive happiness from, without being famous for it? This sounds more like fame.
