    1. The smaller A6 format, hardlybigger than an ordinary note book sheet, makes it easy everywhere to take short notes forlater sheetification, no matter if one is in a reading room, the tramway or on a train. This is aparticularly valuable characteristic of it!

      The values of A6!

Heyde is putting more thought into the size of note paper than I've seen in much of the literature. Did Linnaeus have similar thoughts?

    1. Changing every built-in function to accept anys would also "break" no one, but that doesn't make it a good idea. Part of TypeScript's value proposition is to catch errors; failing to catch an error is a reduction in that value and is something we have to weigh carefully against "Well maybe I meant that" cases.

    1. Professors have many students to keep track of, and they'll need to be reminded of who you are
    2. Asking a professor to go over this again makes you look like you are not a serious student, and it frustrates the professor because it wastes their time

It is important to be present during classes or catch up on material before asking questions. Interactions with professor should consist of meaningful and genuine questions about the subject matter. Anything that has already been stated should not be repeated again. This further cements the fact that you should be conversing with the professor in a formal manner.

    3. you'll have a better chance of avoiding the spam filter. Plus, your school email looks more professional.

There is a legitimate benefit in contacting with your professor in a professional manner. As it says in the text, your professor is more likely to view your message.

    4. That can be helpful because they can set aside an appropriate amount of time to deal with it

There is a clear idea that making tasks easier for the professor will make tasks easier for the student contacting. Check the last three annotations, this is a common theme.

    5. Professors are busy people, so you don't want to drag out your email.

    1. It was the degree of centrality to the white population of the state which alone then constituted the important point of comparison between these places

This was really unsettling for me read. Proximity to the most white people is the one criteria that made the difference in where the University's location was chosen. If Charlottesville hadn't been most central to the white population of Virginia, UVa would be located in Lexington or in Staunton. Its definitely not a good thing that our school was centered around pleasing only the white race before our grounds were even built. I can't imagine how different our grounds would be and our university if another place had been more convenient for white people. UVa certainly has a racist past and I think most of us, if not all, are aware of that but I still couldn't believe that such a racist criteria is the reason the school exists where it does today and is the way Uva is today.
