    1. Entirely reasonable of Jock, after having encountered Nerd's magical ability to cause verbal sentience among forest creatures via tee pose (episode 100), to consider that the possibility that their God might be testing his willingness to sacrifice his own bodily well being and sanity on the altars of their mutual enrichment and a belief in Nerd's powers. Was it selfish of Nerd to trick his friend? Or is Nerd in actual fact a wizard? It's possible I might be over reading into things. 🤓😂

Hopefully you don't mind me pointing out my own comment here. My fandom / thoughts here were getting intense! Still really just exploring the possibilities of Hypot

    1. Evenbefore his betrayal, though, he felt little identification with the colonists, writing that North Carolinians were the most “cowardly Blockheads[another word for lubber] that ever God created & must be used likenegro[e]s if you expect any good of them.”29

blockheads as a synonym for lubber

This gives new meaning to the use of "blockhead" in Charles Schultz' Peanuts (usually Lucy in reference to Charlie Brown).

      Recall Samuel Johnson's (1709-1784) aphorism:

“No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money.”

      Definition from Webster's Dictionary (1913):

      Block"head` (?), n. [Block + head.] A stupid fellow; a dolt; a person deficient in understanding.

"The bookful blockhead, ignorantly read, With loads of learned lumber in his head." —Pope.

    1. This also made me think of church bulletin ads, which all look the exact same way, except maybe it’s just a Catholic thing2?

I thought of the same aesthetic as well, in part because it wasn't as "busy" as the comic book page aesthetic.

    1. I would rather see the scientists and the healers and the artists depicted in a heroic light.

Why are so many villains in comic books depicted as scientists? Has this harmed the American psyche? Encouraged an anti-science temperament?

Observation sparked, in part, to episode of Young Sheldon, Season 1 about Sheldon's eating issues.

    1. This is a comic book about intellectual property law and the public domain: https://law.duke.edu/cspd/comics/digital/.

A well-designed graphic novel/comic book with a narrative that dives into intellectual property and IP law. An excellent introduction to copyright, illustrating use-cases throughout. Thought-provoking and entertaining reading on fair use and public domain.
