Of the 5956 blocks making up a 54 ton that memorializes over 94,000 individuals, according to the name project site; the number present on the back of the block described in this piece is 1867. From this you can tell that the block was a early contributor to the names project, but also the person memorialized lived in a different time. The main panel i chose in this quilt is dedicated to Michael Harmon.
