    1. eBay got jealous when Dan’s site began to grow in leaps and bounds and made him change his name to Bricklink two years later.

Can they really do that? The name seems different enough?

    1. If a site tries to charge me for work others do for free I block them. They're not paying these people to review, there's no standard of quality for these reviews. It's not something that should be charged for. Or maybe I just overdo things, I even refuse to use the self-checkouts at stores because there's someone they can pay for that and unless I get a discount for my work I'm not doing it. People keep allowing companies to get away with crap like that and now stores will have 1 employee and 20 self-checkout stations

    1. The inferior wages and absence of job security associated with adjuncts frequently imply colleges failing to benefit from first-rate candidates.

The fact that colleges charge no less for a course whether it is taught by an adjunct or tenured professor does not change the fact that they are paying the contingent faculty member significantly less to perform critical parts of the job of educating their student body. This seems gravely unfair.

    1. I received an Appraisal Award letter for a claim to have my roof replaced for a total amount of $16000. The insurance paid the first half of 9100 for the Actual Cash Value and stated that the difference which is the depreciation amount was going to get paid after the work gets completed. It was completed and now the insurance is stating that because the amount on the roofers bill was less than the total awarded amount that they won't pay the rest. I can either have the roofer send an itemized final bill to show the depreciation cost in addition to the first bill that didn't show the breakdown or additional costs... OR I shouldn't have to go through this because the awarded amount is due regardless because the job was completed as requested. I need help to recover my depreciation amount owed.

Seems complicated... and leaves them too many ways to wiggle out of paying.

    1. As a solo dev I find this review totally unfair and rude! This game has been made by one person and hundreds of hours have gone into it... To say 5 hours max has been put into this project is just a ignorant negative response.

    1. There are ways to get around the prerequisites of buying this respirator. It is not like you are buying an illegal item, so if you get the chance, you should get this best mask for mold removal.

    1. The only issue with this full-face respirator is that you can only buy it for commercial or industrial use. This means that unless you work for the purchasing department of a company, you will not be able to get one without a permit.
    1. Three days before Labor Day, on Friday, September 2, 1921, the U.S. Army intervened on the side of coal companies against striking coal miners, marking the end of the Battle of Blair Mountain in southern West Virginia. The battle was the climax of two decades of low-intensity warfare across the coalfields of Appalachia, as the West Virginia miners sought to unionize and mining companies used violent tactics to undermine their efforts. The struggle turned deadly.

    1. Embedded CSS: This style is becoming more popular with the rise of mobile and responsive emails. Embedded CSS codes are determined in one place of an email, generally in the <head> section as a <style>. Some email servers still strip the information out of this section, which can cause display problems.

why do publishers make games free on iOS or sometimes Android but not for PC?

    1. READ the EDIT on the OP before making snide comments. Also, if you get “like a hundred of these a day” maybe somebody should clearly, I said CLEARLY, label the subreddit as employees only. This vitriol for accidentally wandering into a subreddit that would, to most thinking people, appear to be for customers AND employees to discuss the store is ridiculous.BTW, I’ll take everything I’ve said back and apologize and even make a post calling myself an illiterate imbecile if somebody can point me to where it CLEARLY says “employees only” in either the sidebar, subreddit rules, or the post list. The sticky doesn’t count, it is not worded clearly, it just reads as if you don’t want complaints, not “no customers”.
    1. In the real world, we are faced with the completely unfair constraint of being human while writing programs and while debugging them, and none of these costs can ever be reduced to zero.

    1. But presenting a library author as a "snake oil" merchant and those who show enthusiasm for that library as fools for falling "hook, line and sinker" for his lies is pretty insulting and not particularly constructive.

    1. For a political body that devotes a lot of attention to national security, the implicit threat of revoking Section 230 protection from organizations that implement end-to-end encryption is both troubling and confusing. Signal is recommended by the United States military. It is routinely used by senators and their staff. American allies in the EU Commission are Signal users too. End-to-end encryption is fundamental to the safety, security, and privacy of conversations worldwide.

    1. “Because the bully had no prior record of bullying, and even though there were so many different days and incidents of physical assault, it was treated as a one-time offense, and for a one-time offense you just get a short talk and a call home,”

In order for suspension and expulsion, there must be multiple offense. In this case, there are witnesses and a confession, but that is not enough. Even though there were many different days and incidents of physical assault this is considered a one-time offense? A short talk and a phone call home is the consequences of a death threat and physical assault? Where is the importance of bullying would not be tolerated? Where is the importance of ensuring the victim's safety? This is why this whole system fail to tackle on the issue of bullying. The limit of what the school can do is unjust. How is that resolved? The victim and their family would still feel unsafe, fear, and paranoia.

    1. The only reason it has accrued the economic power to do so in the first place is because it has provided a valuable service or product that has proven popular w ith consumers over the long-term.

This could turn the higher up and more popular ISP's into almost a monopoly for the internet. The internet has become an important resource to the people of this day and age and it not being free would not help the smaller companies.

    2. a ‘fast lane, slow lane’ internet would emerge where internet users would eschew websites unable to pay for priority service in favour of those that are.

Continues to describe how the internet service wouldn't be fair to smaller sites, in turn making them way slower, and causing people not to go to them due to the lack of browsing speed.

    3. bloggers, niche news sources and small websites generally—will be priced out of the market for priority service and consigned to a much poorer internet experience.

Taking away net neutrality will make it way harder for small business and "niche news sources" to be able to run their sites and they will be way slower due to high costs to run them.

    1. I believe it unfair to demand that students watch the video outside of the class time for various reasons. If you have a blended learning environment, that of course provides a natural time and place to watch the videos, but it will be difficult to ensure all students watch a video as homework

    1. This topic is unfair because adults are degrading the teens who uses marijuana. Adults are under the impression that marijuana is all bad because of the long term effects. Adults don’t take the time to see why teens start smoking marijuana. If the adults understood better, they’d realize that marijuana doesn’t affect the teen’s performances in school.

i like your opinion to be very honest. my parents wouldn't understand why i use marijuana as a teenager not even if we sit and talk to our parents. our parents would just get mad because all they think about is the bad effect in using marijuana.

    1. Plunder in the past made plunder in the present efficient. The banks of America understood this. In 2005, Wells Fargo promoted a series of Wealth Building Strategies seminars. Dubbing itself “the nation’s leading originator of home loans to ethnic minority customers,” the bank enrolled black public figures in an ostensible effort to educate blacks on building “generational wealth.” But the “wealth building” seminars were a front for wealth theft

Racism and corruption still exist in contemporary society. In efforts to aid and help others, corporations, business's will exploit the poor and the unprotected for potential increases in profit.
