    1. Interesting that they make a distinction between documentaries, and digital storytelling in other forms. Is it simply because documentaries intersect with journalism, or is there another qualifier? It seems they are pointing out the difference due to the fact that many documentarians share stories of others, while digital storytellers, according to StoryCenter, share their own experiences.

This is a stunningly excellent little series! It started auto streaming last night after I watched PBS News Hour and I watched it in the background all evening.

I'd seen at least one episode previously, but definitely worth re-watching in its entirety. So much history hiding around us...

    1. a short documentary titled Francis Coppola’s Notebook3released in 2001, Coppola explained his process.

I've seen a short snippet of this, but I suspect it's longer and has more depth.

The citation of this documentary here via IMDb.com is just lame. Cite the actual movie and details for finding and watching it please.

Apparently the entirety of the piece is just the 10 minutes I saw.

    1. So, what is a stringout?  Simply put, a stringout is a sequence of shots that a Story Producer assembles and gives to an Editor to serve two purposes; 1) to give the Editor a “head start” on getting through the raw material that has been shot, and, 2) to give the Editor a “road map” on what the story of a specific scene should be.

      String out.
