Die World Meteorological Organisation zeigt in ihrem Bericht über Luftqualität und Klima 2022 u.a., dass die Hitzewellen des Jahres zu sehr viel mehr Waldbränden und zu einem bedeutend höheren Anteil an Sahara-Staub in der Luft einiger Regionen führten.
