Hallucinations are considered a significant problem for LLMs andGenAl Imagine the impact a hallucination might have if a GenAl reportedto investors that sales of a product had increased by ten per cent over thelast quarter when sales had, in fact, dropped.
The fact that AI is able to create "Hallucinations" is startling. If AI can put up convincing information and mark it factual even when it's not could be a big problem. It shows the importance of people verifying the AI information before being used.
-
For example, I recently prompted ChatGPT-3 to write an academicbiography for a grant I was proposing. Using the prompt “write an aca-demic biography of Sidney I. Dobrin,” ChatGPT-3 returned a 544-wordessay, which, if you did not know me or my work, would sound as thoughit were correct. The information in the essay appears correct, but almostnone of it is
I found this surprising and it just proves that the problem of AI fabricating false detailed information and is a great example on why relying on AI is not a very good idea.
-
Nearly 6,000 researchers, developers, industry leaders, and government officials have signed andendorsed these guidelines.
I think this is crazy. It surprises me how many people believe in AI and how many people are actually for it and trying to prove to people that AI is actually helpful and a good resource to use.
-
GenAlI is being used are growing rapidly,
I think it's really crazy how fast AI became popular because people have been using it for so long and as soon as student found out it can be a way of cheating, it rapidly grew, and it's cool learning about how AI can help us learn, rather than help us cheat.

When ChatGPT brought the conversation about GenAI and education to the public, much of the media coverage focused on concerns that this new tool would launch a level of academic dishonesty never witnessed before, as students would use GenAI to cheat on their assignments and circum- vent their own learning.
This paragraph stuck out to me because I remember when ChatGPT was getting popular around school, and all the teachers told us that if we used AI, it is cheating and it's prohibited.
-
In a revealing survey published by Best Colleges, over half the college students surveyed in March of 2023 claimed that their instruc- tors had not spoken with them about GenAI tools like ChatGPT.?
I thought this was interesting because in 2023 I think ChatGPT and many other AI tools were very prevalent, so I thought most, if not all, instructors would have already talked to their students about this.
-
The information they supply can be inaccurate or biased.
This is completely true, I have heard stories of ChatGTP giving flat out incorrect information when students attempt to use it to cheat their research assignments. However, I doubt this will be a problem for long, people used the same arguments for why Wikipedia isn't a viable source for research. its likely that ChatGTP will continue getting better and better until this is no longer a problem.
-
AI writers have been churningout content for at least a decade in places we might not even suspect.
This is shocking to me because I had no idea that AI was being used for a full decade, and that it is being used by NEWS stations of all places.
-
In the early 2000s, when Wikipedia was launched, popular media wasfilled with stories about students using it as their sole source rather thanconducting “actual research.” Teachers and educational institutions heldmeetings and filled syllabi with rules banning students from accessingWikipedia.
In a way wikipedia is another form of AI, all teachers don't like their students getting information from Wikipedia because a lot of it is fake, but AI seems like another step up and finding real true information to find research.

shallow magnitude 4.7 earthquake was reported Mondaymorning 31 miles from Lone Pine, Calif., according to the U.S.Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:39 a.m. PST nearthe surface....
I was very intrigued by this, I didn't know companies have been using AI for information that has been happening around the word. After reading this it now makes sense of how specific the numbers, time, and dates are.

I was pleasantly surprised by the number of majority of positive reviews especially since almost all the reviewers had no knowledge Japanese picture brides. The few criticisms were confined to production value that comes with the territory of being a low budget independent film, to whether a certain actor was the best choice for a part or only touching superficially on the complexity of the side plots, like worker conditions in the fields. It’s a shame that Picture Bride couldn’t have been made into a 2-3 part miniseries and delve in greater depth into these side plots like the complicated and intricate matchmaking process, the worker conditions and pay hierarchy based on ethnicity, to the widespread drinking and gambling that inflicted many of the husbands, or the injustice of having all their personal reminders, letters, pictures, wedding dresses and etc. of their families and ties to Japan confiscated by the FBI after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the indignity of not being allowed to become US citizens until the mid 1950’s when Federal law was changed allowing
One reviewer on Amazon writes a long review of this film and this person's opinions on other reviews.

Ga-eun: Children and adults are re-acting totally differently to the film. Children are excited about Hana’s adventures, while parents often feel Ga-eun Yoon about THE HOUSE OF US“My gift to all girls taking charge of their own lives”tortured or guilty. That surprises me, as throughout the making of the film I was only focussed on the children and how they are dealing with the situa-tion.
Audiences in different identities (as parents, or as children) react differently to the film.

Each user and each expert has incentives to work separately toward theconstruction of such a Garden. The users get to find answers, and expertscan rid themselves of commonly asked questions.
This may help me with my own research needs to crowdsource peer review and create "living peer reviews."

Several important considerations behind Answer Garden include:
This feels entirely different from modern organizational memory aids like Almanac (https://almanac.io/)!

ngineerschose not to go to the channel of the highest quality for technical informa-tion, but rather to go to the channel of highest accessibility (i.e., lowestpsychological cost). Allen [1977] argued that the psychological cost was inthe potential lack of reciprocity between giving and obtaining informationand in the status implications of admitting ignorance.
My last company had a page in their wiki with acronyms and downloadable Excel spreadsheets!
-
information technology can support organizational memory in twoways, either by making recorded knowledge retrievable or by makingindividuals with knowledge accessible
I tried to do this in my last role as a lab manager and we have a PhD student spreadsheet I added variables to for this specific purpose.
Check it out here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10qMAJjYc7fTGLLSmvrD7pk8v1KeHJYLC47JMBvqxG8A/edit?usp=sharing

Just avoid Jira!

Our argument issimply that for working, learning, and innovating to thrive collectively depends onlinking these three, in theory and in practice, more closely, more realistically, andmore reflectively than is generally the case at present.
iSchools can do this. There are individuals studying all three at UMD's iSchool. But that knowledge is largely theoretical or contextualized to particular research programs. It's innert, and not practiced (only preached).

Oh, my goodness. It's kind of scary looking, actually.
This reminded me of a time when I was on vacation to Iraq in the city of Karbala. There was a blue car on the street, without a driver in the car. The police arrived with dogs that looked very scary. The dogs circled around the car, and they sniffed out explosives. The police then ordered the people to empty the street so everyone can be safe.

The pandemic has also blurred the usual distinction between weekday and weekend consumption patterns.
I agree with her, because before the pandemic, life was completely different, as all family members, most of them in schools, work or outside the home, so people did not need to use electricity in homes except for a few hours, and their consumption of electricity increased on vacations and holidays. But after the epidemic, electricity consumption has doubled, because they stay at home all day.

I disagree with this life style that they are living, I could replace the computer with a book to stop wasting time and do something that benefits the kids. Also, I can replace the xbox with family time since kids in this generation are zoomed out from the " real world" outside and keeping there head inside the game and the games only. nevertheless, TV can be on and off on times that we are actually using it , all of these thing that are listed will make the bill less and more healthy life style in the family

one's bodily consciousness is the contraction,
A bodily reaction to emotion could be a contraction for example, the eyebrows move as do the eyes.

The first set of examples, the sounds, lines, and colours, are either bodily sensations, or the images of such. The second set seem to depend on processes in the ideational centres exclusively. Taken together, they appear to prove that there are pleasures and pains inherent in certain forms of nerve-action as such, wherever that action occur.
Knowing the difference to having an emotional reaction that can be seen versus one that can is shown through nerve reaction

two things concerning the emotions, one must be true. Either separate and special centres, affected to them alone, are their brain-seat, or else they correspond to processes occurring in the motor and sensory centres,
emotions rely on both motor and sensory centers. Why?

Vogue overstepped. It got too chummy too fast. Harris made history. She may be a different kind of vice president. But don’t call her Kamala.
This is reaction to the context as it states an opinion, saying the article is too familiar and does not properly encapsulate the vice-president's grandeur.

These are not official portraits, but neither are they glamour shots or journalistic ones. They exist in the in-between. They mark history and capture the woman who breathes life into the title of vice president. But these pictures also help to craft a mythology — in this case, about a Black woman and power in America.
This is another response as it is not clearly stating a fact, the article fails to blend the line of fashion and journalism.

C7H16(l)+O2(g)→CO2(g)+H2O(g)(3.1.4)(3.1.4)C7H16(l)+O2(g)→CO2(g)+H2O(g) C_7H_{16} (l) + O_2 (g) \rightarrow CO_2 (g) + H_2O (g) \label{3.1.3} The complete combustion of any hydrocarbon with sufficient oxygen always yields carbon dioxide and water. Figure 3.1.23.1.2\PageIndex{2}: An Example of a Combustion Reaction. The wax in a candle is a high-molecular-mass hydrocarbon, which produces gaseous carbon dioxide and water vapor in a combustion reaction (see Equation 3.1.43.1.4\ref{3.1.3}). Equation 3.1.43.1.4\ref{3.1.3} is not balanced: the numbers of each type of atom on the reactant side of the equation (7 carbon atoms, 16 hydrogen atoms, and 2 oxygen atoms) is not the same as the numbers of each type of atom on the product side (1 carbon atom, 2 hydrogen atoms, and 3 oxygen atoms). Consequently, the coefficients of the reactants and products must be adjusted to give the same numbers of atoms of each type on both sides of the equation. Because the identities of the reactants and products are fixed, the equation cannot be balanced by changing the subscripts of the reactants or the products. To do so would change the chemical identity of the species being described, as illustrated in Figure 3.1.33.1.3\PageIndex{3}. Figure 3.1.33.1.3\PageIndex{3}: Balancing Equations. You cannot change subscripts in a chemical formula to balance a chemical equation; you can change only the coefficients. Changing subscripts changes the ratios of atoms in the molecule and the resulting chemical properties. For example, water (H2O) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are chemically distinct substances. H2O2 decomposes to H2O and O2 gas when it comes in contact with the metal platinum, whereas no such reaction occurs between water and platinum. The simplest and most generally useful method for balancing chemical equations is “inspection,” better known as trial and error. The following is an efficient approach to balancing a chemical equation using this method.

If the density is less than the critical density, then the universe will expand forever.
I rather have the Big Freeze happen because I don't want to be crushed by the universe, it doesn't sound very fun.

This is one of many discussions of Kirkpatrick's four levels of evaluation. More of the page is taken up with decoration and graphics than needs to be the case but this page is included in this list because it offers a printable guide and because the hierarchy of the four levels is clearly shown. The text itself is printed in black on a white background and it is presented as a bulleted list (the bullets are not organized as well as they could be). Nonetheless it is a usable presentation of this model. rating 3/5

UDL guidelines. As I post this, I do not know whether this website will be included in our future course readings or not. This website practices what it preaches and provides the same content in multiple forms. The viewer can select/choose the manner in which items are displayed. This has essential information, such as the need to provide "multiple means" of engagement, representation, action, and expression when teaching. Rating 5/5

are step-by-step descriptions of what occurs on a molecular level in chemical reactions. Each step of the reaction mechanism is known as an elementary process, a term used to describe a moment in the reaction when one or more molecules changes geometry or is perturbed by the addition or omission of another interacting molecule. Collectively, an overall reaction and a reaction mechanism consist of multiple elementary processes. These elementary steps are the basic building blocks of a complex reaction, and cannot be broken down any further.

It was the degree of centrality to the white population of the state which alone then constituted the important point of comparison between these places
I find this statement in the document appalling. The founders portray blatant racism within the first paragraph as they decide upon the foundation for the University. I find it baffling that a university designed for the bettering of an entire state would exclude its benefits from such a large segment of the population for which it was designed. Furthermore, it is concerning that issues regarding the exclusion of certain groups of the population remain an issue today amidst the twenty-first century. However, it is encouraging that the University and the larger population of the United States have made great progress towards removing these racist beliefs.

Fled to his house amazed. Men, wives, and children stare, cry out, and run, As it were doomsday.
The discussion at Brutus' home in Act II Scene I revealed that there was much fear surrounding Antonius' reaction to Caesar's death. Trebonius was the only conspirator to agree with Brutus that Mark Antony did not pose a threat, instead remarking that '"There is no fear in him; let him not die; For he will live, and laugh at this hereafter." However, this act of compassion would eventually lead to the conspirators' downfall.
Therefore, Trebonius' conspiratorial role was to lure Mark Antony away from the Senate House while Caesar's assassination was taking place. Consequently, he was the only conspirator that did not stab Caesar.
As witnessed by Trebonius, Mark Antony "fled to his house amazed" in response to Julius Caesar's death. This indicates the strong relationship between the two Romans, and foreshadows the ardent vengeance that Antony is to develop.
Furthermore, Trebonius recalls that "Men, wives, and children stare, cry out, and run, as it were doomsday." The comparison between the assassination and Armageddon reinforce the idea that the conspirators were not acting in the interests of the general public, but instead in the interests of themselves and their own envy.

Democracy is just a word, when the people are starvin'The average citizen, made to be, blind to the reason
The idea that a word, that the American people has based this country and every war we have aided in, is just a word is made to have an impact that maybe we have lost what a democracy is. If we are living in our "democracy" than have we become blind as this "average citizen" to live our lives sufficiently that we forget about the people who don't live in the luxury that we are. If democracy is just a word than it has become worthless and we have become transparent to it.
