Creating a "signpost user interface" can help to uncover directions to take in digital contexts as out of sight is out of mind. Having things sit in your way within one's note taking workflow can remind them to either link things, or move in particular directions for discovering new avenues of thought.
Example: it would be interesting if Jerry's The Brain would have links directly to material in Flancian's Agora to remind him to search or find relevant material there. This could help with combinatorial creativity with inputs from others, though it needs to be narrow so as not to result in rabbit holes which draw away attention.

Jerry Michalski says that The Brain provides him with a "neighborhood perspective" of ideas when he reduces the external link number for his graph down to 1.
This is similar to Nicholas Luhmann's zettelkasten which provided neighborhoods of related notes based on distance from any particular note.
Also similar to oral cultures who relied on movement through their environment for encoding memories and later remembering them. [I'll use the tag "environmental memory" to track this until a better name comes along.]

Results for individual PALB2 variants were normalized relative to WT-PALB2 and the p.Tyr551ter (p.Y551X) truncating variant on a 1:5 scale with the fold change in GFP-positive cells for WT set at 5.0 and fold change GFP-positive cells for p.Y551X set at 1.0. DNA fragments were resolved on 1-2% agarose gel containing 0.5 )lg/mL ethidium bromide in Tris-Acetate-EDTA (TAE) buffer (40 mM Tris-acetate, 2 mM EDT A, pH 8.1 ). The samples were mixed with 6X loading dye containing bromophenol blue, and the samples were resolved by applying a voltage of -5-7 V/cm. The resolved DNA fragments were visualized under ultraviolet illumination and the relative band size was determined by comparison against a DNA ladder with bands of known sizes. When required, images were acquired using a UVP Gel Documentation system.

The highly efficient Ultra competent DH5α cells for transformation were prepared by Inoue method (Inoue et al., 1990). Briefly, a single bacterial colony was picked from LB agar plate, inoculated into 10 ml LB medium and incubated overnight at 37°C temperature with 200 rpm shaking. Following day, 1% of the pre-inoculum was sub-cultured in 100 ml LB-broth and incubated at 18°C until OD600 of 0.5-0.6 was reached. Culture was then kept on ice for 10 min with constant shaking. Cells were pelleted by centrifugation at 5000 rpm at 4°C for 10 min. Pellet was resuspended in 40 ml of ice-cold Inoue buffer. Bacterial suspension was kept on ice for 30 min, re-spun at 2000g at 4°C for 10 min. Pellet was resuspended in 8 ml of TB bufferin which 560 μl DMSO was added and left on ice for 10 min. Finally, 100 μl aliquots were made by snap freezing in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80°C

After the HPLC run, vials numbered from 50 to 65 were surveyed using a Geiger counter, 4 vials with high counts were pooled into one vial and 5 μL of this 4 mL solution was measured in a liquid scintillation counter (Perkin Elmer). To the remaining solution, 800 μL of 50% ammonia solution was added to neutralise the pH and the tube was kept on ice. In a 50 mL conical tube, 45 mL of chilled water was taken, to which the neutralised IP7solution was added and kept on ice. A Sep-Pak cartridge [Waters, WAT020545] was equlibrated with 10 mL of ice cold deionized water using a 10 mL syringe. The Sep-Pak cartridge was attached to a 60 mL syringe and 50 mL of diluted IP7 solution was passed slowly through ot so that IP7would bind to the Sep-Pak column. The cartridge was washed with 8 mL of chilled water, followed by chilled 8 mL 0.2 M triethylammonium bicarbonate solution pH 8.5 (4 mL of 1.5 M triethylammonium bicarbonate, pH 8.5 + 26 mL chilled water). The bound IP7 was eluted in 4 mL of 1.5 M triethylammonium bicarbonate solution, pH 8.5, into three 1.5 mL microfuge tubes. The eluted IP7 was concentrated in a vacuum concentrator (Scanvac) at 2000 rpm, 25°C, to obtain 30-50 μL of a 1-2 μCi/μL solution of radiolabelled IP7

Constructs which mistake the head as superior to the heart or as an adequate starting place for imaginings will always lead to destruction since the head can not handle nor is it designed for the necessary embedding and recursion which is a seed bearing fruit in itself. But it is sure that, before the brain breaks down and eventually falls/fails, those who mistake it as the best foundation will inevitably turn to mocking them who follow through with flow of spirit through and back to the heart. (see Lehi's Dream 1 Nephi 8:26-27 and Nephi's visitation of the same dream in 1 Nephi 11:35-36)
This phrase,"foolish imaginations" can and ought to be read as the "FULLish imaginations of his heart." In earlier verses we see that a FULL rendering of Lehi's heart brought about fulfillment on several levels already. This "fulfillment" even took the immediate form of a "filament" (pillar of light which struck a rock in front of Lehi just as the communication struck his heart with overpowering energy). The electrical charging effects of Full Imagining can be transmitted beyond the individual and others can be made to feel these effects, however, unless they are allowed to take hold in the heart where embedding and recursion can take place, then they are short lived and sometimes can have disastrous overall effect upon others who rely on second-hand spirit and external motivation. This describes a type of Dreaming Gate through which Father Lehi passed. Dreaming and the Navigation of Dreamscapes are the basis of ALL Shamanic practices. As a Father-Figure occupying Higher-Dimensional space with a trickle-down effect traceable across space/time in 3D levels of reality it is important to see Lehi as a Shaman. And the BOM gives us the chance to see him begin to see himself as such. In this way it is hoped that Vital Information/Energy is transmitted from one body to another. Quaking and Trembling is referred to as the Way of the Ancients or the process of "Beginning as in Times of Old" (see Mormon 9:27) and is a natural effect of transmission and transition of Energy/Information/Power from one Person/Group/Place/Time to another.
Typical examples of Dreaming Gates are when the (active) dreamer passes with at least some degree of consciousness from one dreamstate into another by remaining in a dreamstate and going to bed to enter into another while still retaining awareness of the previous dreamstate(s).

But the very essence of our compact is that the union shall be federal and not legislative. Our Lower Canada friends have agreed to give us representation by population in the Lower House, on the express condition that they shall have equality in the Upper House. On no other condition could we have advanced a step ; and, for my part, I am quite willing they should have it. In maintaining the existing sectional boundaries and handing over the control of local matters to local bodies, we recognize, to a certain extent, a diversity of interests ; and it was quite natural that the protection for those interests, by equality in the Upper Chamber, should be demanded by the less numerous provinces.

this troublesome advocate of the second, third or fourth order of talent, and place him on the bench, whilst by leaving these appointments to the Central Government, we are satisfied that the selection will be made from men of the highest order of qualifications, that the external and local pressure will not be so great, and that the Government will be in a position to act more freely. It may be remarked, in passing, that in the proposed Constitution there is an article which provides that the judges of the courts of Lower Canada shall be appointed from the members of the bar of that section. This exception was only made in favor of Lower Canada, and it is a substantial guarantee for those who fear the proposed system. Besides, the honorable member for Hochelaga, who fancies that he sees danger in the powers given to the Central Government, knows by experience, as having himself been a minister of the Crown, that in respect of every appointment of a judge the Cabinet always consults the ministers for the section in which the appointment is to be made, and accepts their choice. The same practice would necessarily be followed by the Central Government, who would be forced to respect it, because behind the ministers from each section would be found the members from that section, and behind our ministers for Lower Canada will be found the sixty-five members whom we shall have sent to represent and protect our interests in the Federal Parliament. It is then advantageous, and there could be no danger in the provision that the judges should be appointed by the Central Government; indeed, it is for our interest, and the interest of all, that it should be so. And although it may be looked upon as a secondary consideration, yet it may as well be mentioned now, that by leaving the appointment of our judges to the Central Government, we are the gainers by one hundred thousand dollars, which will have to be paid for their services by the central power.

He declared that he did not understand the meaning of that article of the resolutions which leaves to the Central Government the appointment of the judges, whilst by another article it is provided that the constitution and maintenance of the courts was entrusted to the Local Parliament. The honorable member should have observed that by the powers conferred on the local governments, Lower Canada retains all her civil rights, as prescribed by the 17th paragraph of article 43, as follows :— The administration of justice, including the constitution, maintenance and organization of the courts, both of civil and criminal jurisdiction, and including also the procedure in civil matters. This is a privilege which has been granted to us and which we shall retain, because our civil laws differ from those of the other provinces of the Confederation. This exception, like many others, has been expressly made for the protection of us Lower Canadians. It was our desire, as the representatives of Lower Canada at the Conference, that we should have under the control of our Local Legislature the constitution and organization of our courts of justice, both civil and criminal, so that our legislature might possess full power over our courts, and the right to establish or modify them if it thought expedient.

Armstrong and Dirnt turned to music as an escape and to bring a little excitement into their admittedly staid, suburban lives. Though many of their punk brethren have accused them of selling out, complaining that real punk rock cannot be found on a major corporate label, Green Day's success has not cast a shadow over their drive for fun. Dirnt commented to Rolling Stone, "I told Bill, 'Let's just take it as far as we can. Eventually we'll lose all the money and everything else, anyway. Let's just make sure we have one great big story at the end.'"

Green Day
Green Day began in San Francisco, California, as an escape for two troubled teens— Michael Dirnt and Billie Joe Armstrong.
Dirnt (born Michael Pritchard) was the son of a heroin-addicted mother. A Native American woman and her white husband adopted Dirnt, but they divorced when he was an adolescent. At that time, Dirnt returned to his birth mother, then left home at age fifteen, renting a room from the family of a school friend—Billie Joe Armstrong. (The friendship had solidified around the time of the death of Armstrong's father, when Billie Joe was about ten years old.) Dirnt and Armstrong eventually moved out on their own, inhabiting various basements throughout Berkeley, California, and frequenting a club called the Gilman Street Project.Armstrong and Dirnt hired Jeff Kiftmeyer as the new drummer and began touring. Upon their return to California in 1990, Gilman Street Project regular Tré Cool replaced Kiftmeyer as the drummer. This combination turned into the formula for Green Day's success as the band tried to bring punk rock into the mainstream.This trio of tattooed, pierced, and dyed-hair 22-year-olds emerged in 1994 as one of the hottest commodities in the entertainment business and ushered in punk as the heir apparent to grunge in rock and roll's quirky evolution. For all their efforts, the band has helped make punk mainstream and opened the gates for other punk bands including former Lookout! labelmates, the Offspring and Rancid. -

Moreover, critics lauded Dookie for its melodies and lyrics as well as for its controlled frenzy. In June 1994, Time reviewer Christopher John Farley even went so far as to declare the work the best rock CD of the year. In 1995, Dookie won the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Performance. Rolling Stone Music Awards also recognized Dookie as the best album of the year and named Green Day the best band of 1995. "Longview" from Dookie also received two honors at Billboard's Music Video Awards. It was MTV's constant playing of "Longview" that made the punk-pop song more than an alternative hit and Green Day a major crossover success with mainstream audiences. Similarly, Green Day's singles earned impressive credits. In 1995, for example, "When I Come Around" spent more than twenty weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, eighteen weeks on the Modern Rock Tracks Chart, eleven weeks on the Hot 100 Recurrent Air Play List, and nine weeks on the Top 40 Air Play Chart. The next year "Geek Stink Breath" endured for eight weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 Air Play Chart.
