    1. “I feel comfortable that alcohol and guns shouldn’t mix,” he said.

He can "feel comfortable" all he wants, but his feelings are where the subject ends.

Simply having opinions does not grant anyone authority to impose those opinions on others - especially when one is of the tyrannical opinion that engaging in an activity that one disapproves of is enough to deprive that person of the human right to self-defense outright.

    2. It’s a reasonable rule

It is not reasonable that a person should surrender their right to effective self-defense simply because they are drinking.

    3. He said the nation’s founders absolutely recognized the commonsense notion that guns and booze are a dangerous combination.

...he asserted without evidence, and the obviously biased reporter just let that slide.

    1. The couple knew firsthand of Edmund Wilson’s travails with “Memoirs of Hecate County,” a story collection that was withdrawn from sale and prosecuted for obscenity, in 1946. Wilson’s case had made its way to the Supreme Court, which upheld the ban.

    1. COVID-19 has remained the leading infectious cause of death in L.A. County

L.A county still being infected with lots of cases is crazy. There are still cases being made and it's still very dangerous especially with people who don't even have their vaccines or boosters. Its especially dangerous for older people.

    1. 202

      I think they meant 2021. 🤦‍♂️

Maybe Glenn Battishill's editor has the day off?

    2. Beginning April 7, if you text and drive, you will pay.

Even though the data shows that people are driving more safely, Jackie Bain is still rooting for the mercenary enforcers to rob you by punishing you for good behavior.

      Seems sociopathic.

    3. nearly 96% of drivers believed it was very or extremely dangerous to read a text or email while driving, four out of 10 drivers admitted to doing so within the previous 30 days.

Maybe they're aware of how dangerous it is, so now they're still doing it, but being more careful about it - resulting in the significant drop in incidents that OSP is reporting locally.

    1. Comments are turned off.

I'd like to ask everyone to watch this 19 second long "public meeting" with comments disabled so you can see what a joke Government is.

If you agree, please re-share. If you disagree, please explain how you think this could possibly be legitimate in the comments.

    1. Drake seeks a tenant demographic more appropriate to the refined nature of the Healdsburg community, tenants who value good design and beautiful surroundings.

Because you have to be rich to appreciate beauty. /s

    1. Hopefully, Sonoma County supervisors will consider placing a road repair bond on the ballot during a high turnout election, such as the November 2016 presidential election.

What, if anything, can citizens to to force the hand of the Supervisors to put a bond forward?<br> Because if the quotes and soundbytes hold any truth, the Board members intend to tow the gunshy company line towards being more aggressive about specific funding - and of course they might - because if it isn't part of the General Fund, they have little ability to exercise their discretion on how it is used. I see this as a great thing.
