    1. Despite low expression in CMs, ACE2 was highly and specifically expressed in pericytes (Figure 1E). In addition, the expression of ABCC9 and PDGFRB and the absence of MYH11 help us to reaffirm the identity of the cells as pericytes instead of SMCs (Figure 1F). Different from SMCs that are located in the coronary arteries or arterioles, pericytes spread outside the endothelial cell of capillary and part of venules, which may play an essential role in myocardial micro-circulation. CD209 was specifically expressed in macrophage, and co-expressed with macrophage marker gene CD163, which may enhance the virus entry in the human heart (Figure 1G). CLEC4M was not enriched in human heart cells.

They have been shown to reduce the production of melatonin via specific inhibition of beta-1 adrenergic receptors. Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain, and helps in maintaining normal circadian rhythms.6,20-21 People with hypertension already have a lower melatonin production rate than those with normal blood pressure.22

      The question becomes, then, do beta blockers impair sleep when exogenous melatonin is administered concurrently?

    1. Epicatechin is known to prompt cells that line blood vessels to release extra nitric oxide, a substance that has multiple effects in the body. Nitric oxide slightly increases vasodilation, or a widening of the veins and arteries, improving blood flow and cardiac function. It also gooses muscle cells to take in more blood sugar, providing them with more energy, and it enhances the passage of oxygen into cells.

      This is particularly evident when examining American policies aimed at "civilizing" native peoples and remaking tribal worlds in the image of America (and by extension, England and Western civilization). A central piece of the violence the American government perpetrated against Native peoples of North America was forcing them to abandon their own languages in favor of English. In other words, "taming" the native populations of North America inherently involved the "taming" of a "wild tongue."

    1. Other smartwatches force you into nightly charging.

      Honestly, this has been a major point for me not to go with Apple Watch (even before knowing about the Pebble 2+ Heart Rate). Such small things but smart alarms and sleep tracking really do help me quite a bit.

    1. How does the heart rate monitor work? The Pebble 2 and Time 2 will use optical heart rate monitors that will monitor heart rate constantly during a workout.  When at rest or sleeping, heart rate will be monitored every 10 minutes, ensuring your resting heart rate is monitored with little to no battery life impact. The monitor will have no problem with sweat, but won’t provide heart rate readings when submerged in water. Please note:  Pebble devices with a heart rate (HR) monitor are intended to be a valuable tool that can provide an accurate estimation of the user’s heart rate. Pebble smartwatches are not medical devices and you should not rely on the accuracy of heart rate data for any purpose, especially for medical or health purposes.

      Straight from the horse’s mouth. We now know that heart rate monitoring on the Pebble smartwatches is as infrequent as the Apple Watch. Ah, well… What remains to be known is what “constantly” means, for workouts. Every second, as with Fitbit?

      The word that really stands out here is 'heart'. It doesn't say as I think in my mind. And it continues to on with "When you once know how "to think," you can create at will anything you wish." This suggests there is something for me to learn about 'thinking' in the context that is is used here.
