In the case of intuitive psychology, or "theory of mind," developmentalism has traced a progression from an early understanding of emotion and action to an understanding of intentions and simple aspects of perception, to an understanding of knowledge vs. ignorance, and finally to a representational and then an interpretive theory of mind.
The mechanisms by which life evolved—from chemical beginnings to cognizing human beings—are central to understanding the psychological basis of learning. We are the product of an evolutionary process and it is the mechanisms inherent in this process that offer the most probable explanations to how we think and learn.

More importantly, what I like about the simple model is that it is process agnostic. There are many different discovery processes and techniques, just as there are many different delivery processes and techniques. The higher order points to me are: the activities of discovery and delivery are happening in parallel, ongoing – they are not “phases” in discovery the team is tackling head-on the big risks – value, usability, feasibility and viability in discovery the product team is working collaboratively to solve problems – product management, product design and engineering the product team measures itself against business results and not just shipping features it is one product team responsible for both discovery and delivery (obviously product managers and designers spend most of their time on discovery activities while engineers spend most of their time on delivery activities).

The phrase "now you're coking with gas" was coined by American Gas Association publicist Carroll Everard "Deke" Houlgate. Deke's son indicated that his father "planted it with Bob Hope's writers" and it was ultimately used in one of his radio shows. From there it turned into one of his catchphrases and it was adopted by others including The Jack Benny Program and Maxwell House Coffee Time.
Incidentally, Houlgate was also a football journalist who devised the first college football rankings methodology that determined the national champions from 1929 to 1958.

In one case, it was a want for some physical representation of an idol, and in this case, it was a want for a solution to COVId or a feeling of security. If we were to relate this to the game we played in the blog post assignment, then I would probably classify this as emotional manipulation. People looking to feel secure in their health while the pandemic rages were taken advantage of by this company selling dirt.

I Criteri di Accettazione sono fondamentali anche per poter verificare se la funzionalità sviluppata rispecchia ciò che era stato deciso. La cosiddetta stima dell’effort è un concetto fondamentale, specie nel Backlog Refinement e in Sprint Planning dove il team di sviluppo si riunisce per dare un valore numerico alle user stories. Questo aspetto non è assolutamente da sottovalutare, perché dalla stima delle user story possono scaturire tantissime discussioni interessanti per capire effettivamente il grado di rischio, complessità, fattibilità di ciascun task.L’estimation a differenza degli altri rituali non ha una sua precisa collocazione, può essere fatto in qualsiasi momento, ma considera che il Team dovrebbe dedicare al meno il 10% del suo tempo alla stima del lavoro necessario per sviluppare una User Story.

Ogni sprint avrà come obiettivo il rilascio di specifiche #feature del prodotto e queste avranno come specifica funzione il dare valore all'utente che usa il prodotto.
Non si tratta solo di suddividere il lavoro ma di impostare l'intero lavoro in funzione dell'utente, cercando di stargli più vicino possibile.

Quale è stata l'innovazione più grande apportata dalle metodologie #agile rispetto alle vecchie metodologie #waterfall ?
La principale differenza è che si è cominciato a ragionare sulle persone che effettivamente creano il prodotto, sulle interazioni tra loro, sui team ed in che modo si risponde al cambiamento, non ci si concentra sui task da vomitare in testa ai tecnici.

Come si sarà intuito, non c’è PMM senza PM. La relazione tra i due ruoli è strettissima: alcuni dicono che al PM spetta mettere il prodotto “on the shelf”, e che il PMM deve invece assicurarsi che venga comprato, e quindi preso “off the shelf”. Essenzialmente il Product Marketing è il processo che punta a mettere un prodotto sul mercato. Quali sono i 4 pilastri fondamentali del #productmarketing ?
I pillar sono:
- Intelligence: in questa fase si svolgono diversi tipi di #ricerca per scoprire trend e tenere d'occhio la concorrenza oltre che i propri eventuali utenti tramite #userresearch;
- Positioning: in questa fase si definisce il #posizionamento del #prodotto sul mercato, come si colloca rispetto alle alternative disponibili? Che tipo di valore crea per le persone che lo utilizzano? All'atto pratico in questa frase si creano le #buyerpersona (rappresentazioni dei compratori del prodotto, dei loro pain points e dei loro bisogni) poi per ognuna di queste si capisce come il prodotto possa creare valore per loro ed infine si definiscono le funzionalità del prodotto che più interessano a queste buyer persona;
- Messaging: in funzione del #posizionamento si potrà creare un #messaging una #comunicazione sui diversi canali, questa avrà lo scopo di esaltare il valore del prodotto e di farlo in maniera coerente in tutti i canali di comunicazione;
- Launch: questa è la prima fase più pratica del product marketing, è una fase che ha come base fondamentale le altre fasi precedentemente elencate, se il #productmanager si deve preoccupare che il prodotto esista e faccia quello che promette di fare, il #productmarketingmanager deve preoccuparsi che qualcuno lo compri. È il #productmarketingmanager che si occupa del lancio e definisce tutta la #strategialancio che permetterà al nostro target di scoprire il prodotto, si occupa di definire messaging, positioning e di fare la #gotochecklist che è la lista di task da completare per effettuare il #lancio;
- Enablement: questa è l'ultima fase ed è la fase in cui si creano contenuti e training volti a facilitare il processo di vendita. Questo avviene in particolare nel B2B quando il processo di vendita è mediato da un sales e non è diretto. È responsabilità del #productmarketingmanager assicurarsi che i sales abbiano tutto il materiale necessario a facilitare la vendita;

- Si comincia con i dati emersi dall'analisi sul #WTP, si creano cluster di individui in funzione di WTP, valori e bisogni, così emergono dei segmenti;
- Punta a pochi segmenti, non molti, ogni segmento porta con sé entropia che deve essere gestita, il numero ideale di segmenti è 3-4 e poi ci si espande in maniera graduale fino a raggiungere il numero ottimale;
- Non devi servire ogni segmento, il prodotto che crei dovrebbe essere coerente con gli obiettivi generali ed economici della tua azienda. Un segmento deve essere visto come un investimento;
- Descrivi ogni segmento in dettaglio e cerca criteri evidenti nel comportamento del segmento per poter customizzare il più possibile;

This sort of behaviour indicates to me that Apollo is using open-source merely for marketing and not to make their product better. The company wants you to get familiar with Apollo Client and then buy into their products, not truly open-source software in my opinion. This is one of the negatives of the open-core business model.

- Much easier / less "expensive" than adding it after the fact.
- PMs are expected to set expectations and manage scope. Set the expectation from the beginning that team delivers accessible product.
- Consider budget, timeline, people, & other resources. The design phase is "too late."
Getting support from leadership
- Talk about ROI & $8+ trillion in disposable income that people with disabilities have worldwide
- Helps the org be more competitive
- Show them how inaccessible content hurts. Demo use of product with a screenreader with no visuals, ask them to navigate with keyboard only. If possible, have a person with access needs do that demo.
Include multiple accessibility reviews in your timeline
- Team should check their work as they go along
Choose the standards and level of compliance you'll achieve
- Compliance and accessibility are not the same. You can conform to WCAG 100% but be unusable for people with certain disabilities
- If project is used globally, consider laws worldwide. Some countries require specific documentation & standards will vary
Put accessibility requirements in contracts with outside vendors
- Be specific about the standards they need to meet
- Ask for proof they can produce accessible work
Carefully choose the tech you'll use to build your project
- If you don't have a choice in what tech you'll use, see if team can fix those a11y issues. If it would expand scope or timeline to do so, flag as risk for leaderships
Document all your team's work
- Good to have on hand for showing "good faith effort" to be accessible
- Prepare a general statement about project's a11y status.
- Document known a11y issues and create a roadmap for resolving
Get training for your team
- Pointing toward info on the web is risky, as there is lots of misinformation. Start with info from W3C a11y curriculum.
How do you coach your team and oversee their work?
- Don't make it about any one person. Discourage things like "if we can't make you happy, we can't move forward." It's not about you being happy, it's about putting out the most usable and successful product you can!
- Publicly praise team members as a way to motivate them to prioritize a11y in the long run
Written content comes first
- This is the easiest to remediate, so get this out of the way.
- Ask people with cognitive impairments to read through with you to find out where things might not be clear
Working with designers
- Annotate design docs to indicate to engineering where they'll need to consider a11y
- Review mockups & wireframes for missing a11y considerations so eng can raise concerns or questions
- Start with user personas based on people with disabilities
- Invest in usability testing at several points during project build
What if you're updating a legacy project?
- Start small
- Have an auditor review for a11y and create a plan to give team "quick wins." Create roadmap for remaining items.
- Talk to team responsible for product to find out what questions/concerns they have

Better community building: At the moment, MDN content edits are published instantly, and then reverted if they are not suitable. This is really bad for community relations. With a PR model, we can review edits and provide feedback, actually having conversations with contributors, building relationships with them, and helping them learn.

I think the main difference between the two are the way API are served. Some smelte components need you to input big chunk of json as props, while i prefer keep props as primitive types and in the other hand give you different components tags to compose.

As we advocate in our Agile Product Management overview, the more involved that a product manager is with the development team, the better. That involvement should be along the lines of a product owner who champions customer needs, the "why" of the product. When the involvement blurs into tasking, the "how" for a team, then there is a problem. Even with the best of intentions, this kind of utilization mindset tends to hide problems: defects, hand-offs, and unknowns. Interleaving scope and process tends toward locking scope, schedule, and quality. That's a recipe for failure.

A better definition I've been using since then, thanks to Jason Hwang, is "fixed output." A company that delivers the same thing to all customers is going to be organized differently than one that does things made-to-order.

Worth taking a look at the so-called product centric-mindset, the mainstream approach in pretty much every technology startup: people are designing/building/launching/growing the product, in roles such as product manager, product designer, product engineer, product lead, product marketing specialist, etc. Funny paradoxical thing is that many of these businesses can be characterised to have a SaaS business model, as in Software-as-a-Service.
When we take a closer look at the Service Design community, we will often hear that "Everything is a service" as these days every product is bundled into a service.

This last characteristic may be the easiest to evaluate. Unless the position is very junior, I’ll usually hire product managers who’ve actually shipped a product. I mean from start to finish, concept to launch. Nothing is a better indication of someone’s ability to ship great products than having done it before. Past performance is an indication of future success

I always insist that at a minimum, representatives from engineering, design, and marketing meet a potential PM candidate.

I often joke that much of the time your job is to be the advocate for whoever isn’t currently in the room - the customer, engineering, sales, executives, marketing. That means you need to be capable of doing other people’s jobs, but smart enough to know not to. Great PMs know how to channel different points-of-view. They play devil’s advocate a lot. They tend to be unsatisfied with simple answers.

So what do I look for in a PM? Most importantly, raw intellectual horsepower. I’ll take a wickedly smart, inexperienced PM over one of average intellect and years of experience any day. Product management is fundamentally about thinking on your feet, staying one step ahead of your competitors, and being able to project yourself into the minds of your colleagues and your customers.

A lot of people describe a product manager as a CEO of the product or the “owner” of the spec, but I think that over-ascribes influence and authority to the product manager. The best teams operate in a way where the team collectively feels ownership over the spec and everyone has had input and been able to suggest and promote ideas. The best product managers coordinate the key decisions by getting input from all team members and are responsible to surface disagreements, occasionally break ties, and gather consensus (or at least ensure that everyone commits to a plan) when decisions get made.
"CEO" of the product is an overrated term to describe PM.

More importantly, once shipped, the best product managers can measure whether the product shipped is the right one. They should work closely with the team to make sure the right moments in the product are measurable, and that the hard questions about whether people are really using the product can be answered.

Yup, which was released six years ago, is obviously a more popular choice at this time. Zod is smaller in size, probably because it doesn’t have as many APIs as Yup, but it’s sure to grow as more features are developed.
