The quintessential American holiday was associatedwith the native turkey to help promote the struggling poultry industryduring the Civil War.
Why does it seem so apropos that Thanksgiving, a quintessential American holiday, is the product of corporate marketing?

Το δημοκρατικό Ισραήλ διασώθηκε το 1973 μόνο χάρη στην ύπαρ-ξη της φασιστικής Πορτογαλίας, όπου προσγειώνονταν τα αεροπλάνατης αμερικανικής αερογέφυρας, της φασιστικής Ισπανίας, υπεράνω τηςοποίας τα αεροπλάνα μας ανεφοδιάζονταν και της φασιστικής Ελλάδας,από τα λιμάνια της οποίας ενεργούσαν ο Έκτος Στόλος και οι νηοπομπές. Στη διάρκεια του πολέμου της Μέσης Ανατολής η Τουρκίαεπέ τρεψε σε σοβιετικά αεροπλάνα να διέρχονται από τον εναέριο χώροτης και έφερε εμπόδια σε εμάς. Αντίθετα, η Ελλάδα επέτρεψε στονΈκτο Στόλο να συνεχίσει να ενεργεί από τις βάσεις της και τούτο είναιη μεγάλη διαφορά μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Τουρκίας σε στιγμές κρίσεως.
Το 1976 ο επικεφαλής της όλης αμερικανικής επιχείρησης, ναύαρχος Zumwalt, ειπε τα δικτατορικά καθεστώτα της Πορτογαλία, Ισπανίας & Ελλαδας ηταν που έσωσαν το Ισραηλ. Αντιθετα, η Τουρκία πηγε με Σοβιετικούς.

Στὶς11 Νοεμβρίου 1892, βρέθηκε σκοτωμένος στὸ Λουτράκι, κοντὰ στὰΧανιά, ὁ Μουσουλμάνος Τεφὴκ Μπαντράκης. Οἱ ἀνακρίσεις ὁδή‐γησαν στὴ σύλληψη ἕξι Χριστιανῶν ὡς ὕποπτων γιὰ τὸν φόνο,ἀλλὰ ἡ κοινὴ γνώμη στὴν ὅλη περιοχὴ τοὺς θεώρησε ἀθώους καὶἀπέδωσε τὸ ἔγκλημα σὲ ἐνδοοικογενειακὴ σύγκρουση. Κανένας,κατὰ συνέπεια, οὔτε Χριστιανὸς μὰ οὔτε καὶ Μουσουλμάνος, δὲνἤθελε νὰ ἀναλάβει δικηγόρος τῆς οἰκογένειας τοῦ θύματος. I had come of age in Turkey after the 1980 military coup. I had witnessed how effective censorship could be when all mass communication was cen-tralized and subject to government control: radio, television, and newspa-pers.
I like the fact that she puts her personal background here upfront. It gives us a sense of the author's background while simultaneously setting the stage for what she'll be describing shortly.

Open to the public since 1965, the Derinkuyu underground city, along with nearby Kaymaklı, is a well-known tourist attraction in the region. While only 8 of the 18 levels are viewable, it’s an incredible opportunity to see man’s ability to adapt to their circumstances.

Fundamentally this is a great soup!
My carcass was from a 14lb Turkey. Most of the major parts were eaten, but there was still a considerable amount of meat on the bone.
Per other comments,
added two capfuls of Apple Cider Vinegar during the boiling phase 50% Chicken stock to water Primary ingredients:
Double carrots Double celery Double barley Add 4-8 cloves of garlic Skipped tomatoes (might reconsider) Seasoning:
Double Worcestersshire Double to triple salt and pepper (to taste) Double parsley Double Basil Double to triple paprika Double to triple poultry seasoning. Double thyme Add red pepper Add a couple good squirts of Sriracha sauce And I found myself adding a fair amount more water, to handle the additional barley and also to make the soup a bit thinner. Particularly as the water evaporates over the course of the day.
I can attest that these modifications result in a properly hearty soup!
Oh, I also learned how to properly dice an onion today:
